MIP program focuses on understanding the immune responses and physiological adaptations of marine organisms to environmental stressors
Molecular Immunology and Physiology (MIP) program focuses on understanding the immune responses and physiological adaptations of marine organisms to environmental stressors. Marine organisms, particularly those in vulnerable ecosystems such as coral reefs and estuaries, are exposed to a wide range of environmental pressures including temperature shifts, salinity changes, and pollution. This program investigates how these organisms’ immune systems respond to these stressors and adapt to changing conditions, which is critical in the context of climate change. Research under this program aims to uncover how physiological mechanisms help marine species survive, thrive, and adapt in challenging environments, providing important insights for conservation strategies and the protection of marine biodiversity
