ANIMAL HOUSE RULES AND REGULATIONS

BEFORE ALLOWED TO USE THE ANIMAL LABORATORY, THE USER MUST PROVIDE;

  1. Animal Ethics Form, Applied From RMO (Office of Research Management) 
  2. ICAMB Membership Registration Form
  3. Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Form (COSHH)
  4. Animal House Application Form

WHEN USING THE ANIMAL LABORATORY, A REGISTERED USER MUST 

  1. Completing Usage Log Online (One Time Registration) 
  2. The PPE Log Book (Protective Personal Equipment)

It is PROHIBITED TO STORE CHEMICALS In the Laboratory

LABEL Each Container and Cage Used

Chemical Waste, and Wet Bedding Should be Removed Out of the Laboratory, Not Allowed to be Left in the Laboratory

CLEANLINESS IS A SHARE RESPONSIBILITY. Make Sure Laboratory Floors, Autopsy Tables and Cages are Cleaned When Not in Use.

ANIMAL WASTE MANAGEMENT AND HANDLING

  1. Store Animal Waste (Carcass) in the Refrigerator Provided and Ensure  EACH STORAGE CONTAINER OR PLASTIC Used to Store Animal Waste Only Weight 2 KG +/-
  2. Label Your Waste (Name/ Type of Animal/ Weight/ Date Produced)
